Placenta
The word placenta comes from the Latin word cake, or disc-shaped. Some refer to the placenta as the baby's first birthday cake. The placenta is formed from the same sperm and egg cells that form the baby and has two functions, maternal and fetal. During pregnancy, the placenta grows alongside the baby and nourishes the baby's development. This incredible organ is actually the only disposable organ that the human body creates and then naturally discards once its purpose is fulfilled. The placenta acts as a comforting womb mate to your baby. The common "shush" sounds imitate the sound of blood flow.
Some benefits include: heightened energy - increased milk supply - less bleeding and pain - a constant flow of oxytocin, the ‘love hormone’ - faster physical healing - hormone stabilization

Service Descriptions
Traditional Method
This form of placenta preparation is Inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and follows the preparation of lightly steaming the placenta before dehydration. Jalapeno pepper, lemon, and ginger are added to the steaming pot to aid digestion, and promote warming for the mother. The placenta is then thinly sliced, dehydrated, and ground into a fine powder. The powder is then placed into capsules. This method is recommended for mothers whose diet is mostly cooked foods or traditionally-prepared foods.
Raw Dehydration Method
This method is prepared by thinly slicing the placenta raw prior to dehydration. After dehydration, the placenta is ground into a fine powder. The powder is then placed into capsules. Raw food activists believe that steaming the placenta destroys some of the essential nutrients. Using this option provides a burst of energy upfront and great hormone stabilization. This method is recommended for mothers whose diet is more aligned with raw food preparations.
Placenta Tincture
A small piece of placenta is placed within grain alcohol to create a tincture. The tincture is another way to stretch out its longevity and can be used when placenta pills are finished.
Placenta Art Prints
Similar to watercolor prints. They are beautiful keepsakes of “The Tree of Life” that sustained your baby during pregnancy. All prints are safely archived on acid-free paper. Your beautiful placenta is painted with blood or with food-grade dye to make a lasting imprint of your placenta.
Umbilical Cord Keepsake
Each keepsake is a small piece of the umbilical cord dehydrated into either a spiral or heart shape.
